Ricardo Valério
Ricardo Valério began his studies in Chinese Medicine in Portugal in 2000 and continued his training at Tianjin University of TCM in 2003. His academic path has since focused on Chinese language, culture and medicine, and he is currently a PhD candidate in Internal Medicine (TCM) at Tianjin University, specialising in gastroenterology.
Ricardo Valério began his studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine in Portugal in 2000 and continued his training at Tianjin University of TCM in 2003, shortly after the SARS outbreak. Since then, his academic path has been shaped by two core areas: Chinese language and culture (Beijing Language and Culture University), and Chinese medicine (Master’s in Acupuncture and Tuina from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine).
He is currently a PhD candidate at Tianjin University of Chinese Medicine in the field of Internal Medicine, specialising in gastroenterology. Clinically, his most formative experience in China was his apprenticeship in 2013 with the late Dr. Wang Ju Yi, of whom he became a disciple.
