Jan Valentini

Dr. Jan Valentini is a General Practice physician with postgraduate training in Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture. He is Head of Research in Complementary and Integrative Medicine at the University Hospital of Tübingen, where he also leads the Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Outpatient Clinic.

Jan Valentini MD, is a specialist in general practice (GP) and postgraduate in traditional Chinese medicine (University of Porto) with additional qualifications in acupuncture.

Dr. Valentini is Head of Research, Complementary and Integrative Medicine, at the Institute of General Practice and Interprofessional Care, The University Hospital of Tübingen (UKT), Germany, where he is also active in medical education.

He is the senior physician for the Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Outpatient Clinic, UKT, which he co-founded in 2019. His work focuses on the integration of evidence-based complementary medicine into primary care and integrative oncology treatment.

He has conducted several study and research visits to China: Beijing (China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences), Harbin (Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine), Mount Wudang (Five Immortals Temple).
