Dr. Pedro Bruno Grilo Lopes de Castro Figueiredo

Dr. Pedro Bruno Grilo Lopes de Castro Figueiredo is a General Practice physician with training in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Sports Medicine, and Electroacupuncture. He currently works in the Emergency Department of Hospital de São Bernardo in Setúbal, as well as with the Internal Medicine Support Group (G.A.M.I.) and the Intermediate Care Unit at the Orthopedic Hospital of Outão. He also practices acupuncture at Clínica Bica in Almada.

He holds a Master’s degree in Integrated Medicine (Clinical Integration of TCM with Conventional Medicine, Tianjin University of TCM, 2012–2015), a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science (University of Beira Interior, 2010–2012), and completed training in TCM and Acupuncture at UMC, Portugal. He is a certified Specialist in the Portuguese higher education system in the field of Health Sciences, having completed public examinations in 2018 at ESS/IPS. He is currently a PhD candidate at Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Since 2015, he has served as a consultant for the Portuguese Society of Phytochemistry and Phytotherapy (SPFito), supporting the introduction of Chinese Medicine into the Portuguese market, and is a member of the Committee for Research on the Protection of Traditional Knowledge of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies.
