Diogo Calado 

Diogo Calado is the Coordinator of the Bachelor’s Degree in Acupuncture at the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal and an Adjunct Guest Professor. He holds a Master’s in Integrated Medicine and is a consultant for SPFito, with active work in TCM, research, and higher education.

He is the current Coordinator of the Bachelor’s Degree in Acupuncture at the School of Health of the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal, where he serves as an Adjunct Guest Professor. He holds a Master’s degree in Integrated Medicine (Clinical Integration of TCM with Conventional Medicine, Tianjin University of TCM, 2012–2015), a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science (University of Beira Interior, 2010–2012), and completed his training in TCM and Acupuncture at UMC, Portugal. He is a certified Specialist in the Portuguese higher education system in the field of Health Sciences, having completed public examinations in 2018 at ESS/IPS. He is currently a PhD candidate at Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

He is a member of the Committee for Research on the Protection of Traditional Knowledge of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies. Since October 2015, he has served as a consultant for the Portuguese Society of Phytochemistry and Phytotherapy (SPFito), supporting the introduction of Chinese Medicine into the Portuguese market.
